Franklin Institute Hosting 'Science Of Cooking' Show This Month

The show is free with general admission tickets and includes hands-on activities for kids, but there are only a few chances to catch it.

PHILADELPHIA – Those who visit the Franklin Institute know it hosts some of the most unique exhibits, experiences, and activities in the area. And in November, it's hosting a show that is aimed to pique your culinary interests.

On Nov. 4, Nov. 11, and Nov. 18, the Franklin Institute will host "The Science of Cooking" show, which is free to attend with general admission tickets.

In the institute's Musser Demonstration Theater, the show will feature large-scale demonstrations explaining the underlying physics, chemistry, and biology of cooking.

Attendees will get to participate in hands-on demonstrations to help them better understand how exactly cooking works.

The Science of Cooking shows will be held at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:3o p.m. on Nov. 4, Nov. 11, and Nov. 18.

Nov. 18 will also be Kitchen Science Day at the institute.

The day will celebrate the sweet and savory science of food with a day of free programming for the whole family.

Featuring partners from local culinary organizations presenting hands-on activities and demonstrations, guests will tickle their taste buds with free samples (only at certain stands while supplies last) while learning the science behind eating, drinking, and cooking.
