The Met Hosting Bob Dylan For First Concert After Renovations

After $56M in renovations, The Met at 858 North Broad is hosting its first performance Monday with legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan.

PHILADELPHIA – The Met, Philadelphia's newly-renovated and historic performance venue, is hosting its first concert Monday and legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan is opening the venue.

Located at 858 N. Broad St., The Met — formerly the Philadelphia Metropolitan Opera House — was built in 1908 by Oscar Hammerstein.

The Oscar-, Grammy, Golden Globe-, and Nobel Prize-winning Dylan is the first artist to take the stage at The Met.

The 110-year-old venue underwent about $56 million in restoration work through a partnership with Live Nation, Eric Blumenfeld and Holy Ghost Headquarters.

While Dylan's show is sold out, The Met has a full schedule of musical concerts, stand up comedy acts, kids' shows, and more lined up.
