Local landlord group HAPCO Philadelphia is withholding comment until it sees the bill, as tenant associations push to amend leases and reduce financial strain on working-class renters.

3. City investigates water leak at vacant South Philadelphia property washing out nearby business (cbsnews.com) — A long‑running water leak from a vacant South Philadelphia property is flooding a neighboring signage business's lot, sending water into the street and even creating dangerous ice last winter. After CBS News Philadelphia highlighted the issue, city crews and the Philadelphia Water Department are back on site investigating, with officials warning they may take legal action if a private service line is to blame.
   

4. SAB Biotherapeutics, Inc. Announces Presentations Featuring SAB-142 Phase 1 Data At Breakthrough T1D Clinical & Research Congress (marketscreener.com) — Philadelphia will host the inaugural Breakthrough T1D Clinical & Research Congress at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on October 9–11, where SAB Biotherapeutics will present new Phase 1 data on its SAB-142 immunotherapy. Local clinicians and researchers focused on type 1 diabetes may be especially interested in detailed sessions on the drug's mechanism, safety, and potential to slow disease progression.
