No injuries were reported, a temporary front was built by morning, and Philadelphia police are still determining what happened as loyal customers quickly returned.

Market Street Bridge closes Monday for 14-month, $150 million rehab (northeasttimes.com) — Starting Monday, the Market Street Bridge between Center City and University City will close to vehicles for about 14 months, reshaping how Philadelphians cross the Schuylkill. With SEPTA bus detours, new parking bans, and the School District of Philadelphia's first day of classes all colliding, commuters—especially from Northeast Philadelphia—should brace for longer trips and heavier congestion but eventual bike-friendly upgrades.

Woman, 19, shot in chest after argument in West Philadelphia (northeasttimes.com) — A 19-year-old woman is in critical condition after being shot in the chest early Friday near 56th Street and Haverford Avenue in West Philadelphia following an argument, police say. Her friends are cooperating with detectives, and investigators are reviewing surveillance footage while asking anyone with information to contact the Philadelphia Police Tip Line.

Bandido, Athena put on a show at Ring of Honor's Death Before Dishonor in Philadelphia (foxnews.com) — Fans packed South Philly's iconic 2300 Arena on Friday night as Ring of Honor's Death Before Dishonor brought some of the year's most talked-about matches back to Philadelphia. Bandido retained the ROH World Championship, Athena extended her dominant women's title reign, and Action Andretti captured his first singles title in front of an energized local crowd.
   

5. Game 129 - Bohm Walks It Off with 2-Run Triple! (blogspot.com) — Alec Bohm delivered a two-run, walk-off triple at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia to cap a back-and-forth extra-innings win and extend the Phillies' streak to seven games. Despite a shaky start from Jesús Luzardo, big hits from J.T. Realmuto and others kept the team close before Bohm's heroics and a celebratory night for fans in the Diamond Club.
