Philadelphia Zoo Hosting Annual Beer Festival June 23

Attendees will be able to enjoy crafts brews, food trucks, games, live music, and of course animals at the zoo during the event.

PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Zoo is inviting you to enjoy a plethora of beers, food truck bites, music, games, and of course animals at the Summer Ale Festival this June.

The festival will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 23 at the zoo. The festival will be held rain or shine.

Tickets start at $59.95, but the price goes up to $64.95 as the event grows nearer.

Non-drinkers can get entry for just $34.95.

And for $79.95, you can get VIP tickets with early access to the event at 6 p.m. ahead of general ticket holders.

All attendees, whether they will be enjoying beers or not, must be at least 21 years old.

Last year's event featured local brewers such as Yards, Philadelphia Brewing Company, and Conshohocken Brewing Company, as well as national names including Samuel Adams, Angry Orchard, and Yuengling.

There were also nearly 20 food vendors on hand last year, including Hai Street Kitchen, Nick's Roast Beef, Whole Foods, Pie Stand, and Baby Blues BBQ.

The festival serves as a fundraiser and supports Philadelphia Zoo in its mission to create joyful discovery and inspire action for animals and habitats and is sponsored by Constellation.

The Philadelphia Zoo is located at 3400 W. Girard Ave., Philadelphia.
