"Creed 2" is the sequel to the hit 2015 film "Creed" that featured Rocky Balboa as the trainer of Adonis Creed. "Creed" was lauded for its gritty but hopeful depiction of Philadelphia.

The new installment taps back into the nostalgia by pitting Jordan's Creed against a new villain: the son of Ivan Drago.

"Creed 2" is slated for release in late 2018.
