Philly Man Turns Mocked Pepsi Ad Into Mentos Commercial

Pepsi has pulled the ad, but Max Paolucci's cut of the widely derided commercial is racking up views.

A Philadelphia man couldn't help but see something a bit different when Pepsi releases its now defunct ad featuring a member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan. Max Paolucci seemed to think the commercial was reminiscent of to old school Mentos ads.

Paolucci, of Fishtown, told the Philly Voice he thought of the classic 90s Mentos ads after seeing the Pepsi ad.

The commercial features Kendall Jenner and was called tone deaf and was said to undermine social movements such as Black Lives Matter.

"Just watching it, that's the first thing I thought of," Paolucci told the outlet. "[The Mentos commercials] solved really obvious problems with a product – it seemed what she was trying to do."

In just a few minutes, Paolucci had a great recut of the ad that fits perfectly with the Mentos commercials of yore, the outlet reports.
