Philly Under Curfew Wednesday Night

Officials said there will be a citywide curfew from Wednesday night to Thursday morning due to looting and violence in the city.

PHILADELPHIA — The city of Philadelphia will be under a curfew overnight Wednesday due to numerous incidences of looting and violence that occurred Monday and Tuesday nights.

According to city officials, the curfew will be in effect at 9 p.m. Wednesday.

It will be lifted at 6 a.m. Thursday.

During the curfew, grocery stores, restaurants and pharmacies may, at their discretion, choose to be open only for delivery services after 9 p.m.

Businesses should also take appropriate measures to secure their facilities and to protect onsite and delivery employees, officials said.
