Philly Wing Bowl: Woman Consumes 40,581 Calories In 30 Minutes

PHILADELPHIA – A new record has been set for Philadelphia's annual chicken wing-eating competition.
Professional competitive eater Molly Schuyler not only won the 2018 Wing Bowl at the Wells Fargo Center on Friday, Feb. 2, she set a new record with the massive amount of wings she devoured.
Schuyler, who's been a competitive eater since 2012, crushed 501 wings in 30 minutes, setting a new record for the event.

The average wing has about 81 calories, 5.4 grams of fat, and 7.46 grams of protein, according to FatSecret.com.
We'll save you time and do the math for you. That's 40,581 calories, 2,705.4 grams of fat, and 3,737.46 grams of protein she ate in 30 minutes. Truly an astounding amount to put down considering Schuyler's slight build.

This is Schuyler's third appearance, and third win, in the Wing Bowl. She won in 2016 with 363 wings and in 2014 with 429.
The second place finisher, Dave Brunelli, ate 396 wings Friday. Chump change compared to Schuyler's record-setting count, according to CBS Philadelphia.
The first ever Wing Bowl was held in 1993 in the Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel. The winner, Carmen Cordero, finished with 100 wings.
