"We’re excited to share this one-of-a kind experience with Lyft passengers in celebration Stranger Things Season Two," Andrew Woolf, Lyft's Pennsylvania General Manager, said. "Strange Mode brings a new experience to Lyft passengers in Philadelphia, and I am thrilled to have it available in our city. We've seen tremendous growth in Philadelphia and we wanted to show our appreciation by delivering a unique experience for passengers here-- just in time for Halloween."

The second season, simply called "Stranger Things 2" picks up where the first season – rated a 95 percent fresh by Rotten Tomatoes – left off. The series is set in small-town Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980s where a group of young friends search for their pal who becomes trapped in an alternate dimension called the "Upside Down" and enlist the help of a telekinetic-powered girl on their rescue mission.

The show made waves with its strong performances from the young cast and its many homages to classic 80s films from the likes of Stephen Spielberg, John Hughes, Stephen King, and more.

The show's first season went on to win five Emmy awards.

"Lyft is a company that is all about creating experiences for our passengers," Ethan Eyler, Lyft Director of Ride Experience, said. "We like to think of the car as our stage and that is just what we did in partnership with Netflix, by creating a spooky ride for Stranger Things 2."

Stranger Things 2 premiers Friday, Oct. 27 on Netflix.
