PHILADELPHIA — A teenage boy is recovering after being shot Wednesday outside a Philadelphia recreation center.
The shooting occurred at about 4 p.m. Wednesday outside the Marie Dendy Recreation Center at 10th and Jefferson streets, Fox 29 reports
A 15-year-old boy was sitting on a bench outside the facility when a masked gunman opened fire, according to Action News.

The boy was shot in the back and was taken to hospital, where he is in stable condition, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Police said the suspect was wearing dark clothes with a light-colored face covering.
