WATCH: 'Creed II' Trailer Shows Philly's Grit, Heart

A trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel to 2015's "Creed" was released Wednesday. See scenes of Philly and get a tease of the story.

PHILADELPHIA – The first trailer for "Creed II" was released Wednesday, and you bet it shows Philadelphia and emphasizes the grit and determination of the city and Philadelphians.

Set to hit theaters Nov. 21 this year, the sequel to 2015's "Creed" once again stars Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Creed, son of Apollo Creed, and Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa.

In the sequel, Creed takes on the son of Rocky's rival and Apollo's in-ring killer Ivan Drago.

The trailer shows various shots around the city, including a sweeping skyline shot from northwest Philly, shots in city cemeteries, and various neighborhoods.

Locals were tapped as extras for various scenes throughout the city during shooting, which was mainly done in the city itself.

Stallone paid visits to the Rocky Statue at the Art Museum and even his Rocky's home while shooting.

Jordan was also spotted around the city, with one young woman even messaging him about getting a photo together, to which the film and TV obliged.
