WXPN's 2020 XPoNential Music Festival Canceled
Norah Jones, Nathaniel Rateliff, Grace Potter, Citizen Cope, and more were slated to play this year's festival.
PHILADELPHIA — Organizers of the XPoNential Music Festival said Thursday that the 2020 installment of the event is canceled.
Philadelphia public radio station WXPN announced the cancellation after meeting with its partners on the Camden County Board of Freeholders and Live Nation.
Obviously, the station cited the safety concerns regarding the coronavirus pandemic as the impetus to cancel.

The festival was scheduled to take place July 31 through Aug. 2 and feature Norah Jones, Nathaniel Rateliff, Grace Potter, Citizen Cope, The Marcus King Band, and many more performers.

"We are heartbroken, and we know the artists, our members, business supporters, volunteers, and long-time attendees of this event are, too,” said Roger LaMay, WXPN General Manager. "However, given the magnitude of the current health crisis, we know this is the right thing to do. We are committed to our community and are working on new ways to connect artists and audiences on the radio, online and eventually even in-person with social distancing."
Festival Ticket holders will be contacted regarding refunds.
