Young Actress Plays Impatient Princess in 'Shrek The Musical'
Ellie Biron of Philadelphia returns to the Walnut Street Theatre as Young Fiona in "Shrek the Musical"

Ellie Biron returns to the Walnut mainstage as Young Fiona in Shrek the Musical - playing now through January 5.
Based on the DreamWorks film, Shrek is the story of a reclusive ogre who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking donkey and a feisty princess. Complete with new songs and an outrageous cast of fairytale characters, this hilarious musical is entertainment for children and adults alike.
Ellie Biron is a 5th grader at Germantown Friends School. Shrek the Musical marks Ellie’s third production with the Walnut, having debuted in 2017 as Molly in Annie before starring in the titular role for last season's Matilda. This year, Ellie plays a princess locked away in a tower as she awaits a champion to rescue her. She quickly grows bored with her situation, but nevertheless remains hopeful that each day will bring her the freedom promised to her by the stories of other princesses like Snow White and Rapunzel. Ellie shares the stage with the grown-up version of Fiona, played by Broadway’s Julia Udine of Phantom of the Opera fame.
