3 Deaths In Recent Weeks At Phoenixville's Prima Motel Not Suspicious, Police Say
Three people have died since the beginning of July at Phoenixville's Prima Motel and Lounge.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Three deaths have occurred in recent weeks at a Phoenixville motel and bar, leading residents to ask questions about area safety.
The incidents have all occurred at the Prima Motel and Lounge, a bar and grill connected to a motel that houses long-term occupants.
While the immediate circumstances surrounding the deaths could not be immediately confirmed, Phoenixville Police Chief Thomas Sjostrom told Patch Wednesday that the deaths are not considered suspicious by authorities.

All of the deaths appear to be due to natural causes, he added.

Some local residents say that the Prima has a reputation for bar fights and drug abuse nearby. In the wake of the recent deaths, officials said that rumors began to fly about the future of the watering hole. Many were suggesting that Prima was planning on shutting down or that the borough was planning on shutting the bar down. As of Wednesday, neither is true.
"I have been asked by several residents if it's true there's plans to shut the place down, and the answer to that is no,” Middle Ward Councilman Michael Kuznar said.
