Local officials and residents gathered to celebrate the 1859 bell's journey from school rooftop to fire department, storage, planter, and now a preserved symbol of the town's long commitment to education and community history.
   

• Food Tossed, Cockroaches Found in Chester County Inspections (mychesco.com) — Chester County health inspectors recently reviewed numerous food facilities, including Kona Ice King of Prussia and Thai Restaurant on Nutt Road in Phoenixville, and found them in compliance on Sept. 16. Other schools, restaurants, and clubs elsewhere in the county were cited for issues like improper food temperatures, pests, and weak sanitizer levels, with some food discarded and equipment sidelined until fixed.
