Chesco Man Arrested For Murder, Shot Victim 11 Times: DA
After the victim had already been shot several times, the suspect stood directly over him and continued to shoot, the DA said.

A Chester County man has been arrested and charged with first degree murder after allegedly shooting a victim 11 times in the body and the head on August 26 in Coatesville, according to the District Attorney's Office.
The incident occurred sometime before 6:05 a.m. on Friday, August 26. According to witness accounts taken by police, Lenn "Butter" Tucker, 25, of Coatesville, frequently sold drugs in the area of Seventh Avenue and Diamond Street.
On the day of the shooting, surveillance video shows the victim, Alex Hartzell, 24, meeting Tucker near the corner. Hartzell then walked away and Tucker followed him. When Hartzell turned around, Tucker shot him numerous times at close range, police said. After Hartzell was on the ground, Tucker then stood directly over him and shot him several more times, according to an affadavit of probable cause.

When interviewed, Tucker told police that there were four other people in a yard near the street where Hartzell had been shot, which surveillance video disproved, documents state.

"This was good work by the Coatesville Police Department and Chester County Detectives," DA Tom Hogan said. "They combined expert use of technology with old-fashioned police work."
