Chesco Man Charged For Flipping SUV In Post Super Bowl Revelry

A Chester County man is facing charges after he and others flipped a vehicle Sunday night during the Eagle's post Super Bowl win celebrations in Philadelphia, according to police.

Philadelphia Police said John H. Rigsby, 20, of the 700 block of Monument Road in Malvern, faces charges of rioting, recklessly endangering another person, criminal mischief, and conspiracy.

The incident occurred at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night in the midst of the mayhem on the 1400 block of Walnut Street, authorities said.

Rigby was one of seven people who got a hold of a 2017 Nissan Rogue SUV and turned it over, according to police. The whole thing was caught on video.

That video, of course, was shared widely on social media and by news outlets.

Those seven people lined up along the vehicle's passenger side then flipped it onto its driver's side door, causing dents and scratched to the vehicle, police said.

A GoFundMe was launched to assist the vehicle's owner in paying for the damages. So far it's raised more than $1,100. See here to contribute to the fund.

Rigsby was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 6 and was released after posting 10 percent of $2,500 bail, court records show.

He is slated to appear for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 22, according to court documents.
