Phoenixville Grad, CBS Meteorologist, Added To Wall Of Fame

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Phoenixville High School will honor Kate Bilo, a meteorologist who has gone on to do big things.

Bilo will be added to the school's wall of fame during a special ceremony on May 10.

The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. in the front lobby of the high school and will be aired live on CBS 3.

Bilo, who was born in Rochester, New York, moved to Phoenixville with her family in 1990. She attended Schuylkill Elementary and graduated as a Phantom from Phoenixville High School in 1999.

She then went on to attend Penn State, where she majored in Spanish and International Business. She later received a degree in geosciences from Mississippi State University in 2010.

That year, she began working as a meteorologist for CBS during weekday morning newscasts.

In her free time, Bilo volunteers for the Ronald McDonald House and Alex's Lemonade Stand.

A reception at the high school will follow the ceremony.
