1 New Allegheny County Coronavirus Case Confirmed, 3 Presumptive

The number of coronavirus cases in the county continues to rise.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Allegheny County has one new confirmed coronavirus case, the county health department announced Tuesday. That brings the total number of confirmed cases in the county to seven.

The confirmed case is an individual in their 60s who is currently hospitalized. ACHD is continuing to gather information as to where COVID-19 was acquired.

There also are three new presumptive positive coronavirus cases in the county.

The three presumptive positives are all young adults over the age of 18 who are in isolation at home. Two acquired COVID-19 through recent international travel and one acquired through recent domestic travel.

With one case each in Washington and Beaver counties, that brings the total number of confirmed cases in southwestern Pennsylvania to nine. The first cases were announced Saturday.
