PITTSBURGH, PA —The scene on Monday night in Cincinnati was shocking. After making a seemingly routine tackle in the Buffalo Bills-Cincinnati Bengals game, Pittsburgh native and former University of Pittsburgh star Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest.

After several days in a hospital intensive care unit, Hamlin, a Central Catholic High School graduate, was improving and able to talk to teammates on FaceTime. That's a positive.

While his football future remains uncertain, he appears on track to recover. That's a good thing.
