Health Department Shuts Down Popular Pittsburgh Food Truck
The truck has had ongoing issues, health inspectors noted.

PITTSBURGH, PA - The Allegheny Health Department has ordered the popular La Palapa food truck off of the streets because of health code violations.
Inspectors over the weekend ordered the closure after finding the truck has no running water at the hand sink. Inspectors noted that this has been a recurring issue with the truck and that the water system needs to be permanently reparied.
Inspectors also found shredded cheese stored in an igloo chest at 45 degrees in the food truck, four degrees above the maximum temperature allowed. Additionally, the truck has Insufficient hot and cold holding units for temperature maintenance for the menu. The health department recommended limiting available menu items to reduce the amount of space required.
