PITTSBURGH, PA - It’s hard to believe, but Heinz Field turns 20 next season. So it was due for a little freshening up.
The Steelers plan to do just that in time for the next football season. They briefed the Pittsburgh Planning Commission on plans to modify the stadium's FedEx Great Hall, relocate the Steelers ticket window and office are and build a new Steelers flagship store.
The expansion is expected to be the largest addition to Heinz Field since it opened and is anticipated to cost as much as $13 million. .
