Pittsburgh-Area High School Significantly Damaged In Fire

The high school will be closed indefinitely, the district superintendent said.

ELIZABETH, PA — Elizabeth Forward High School will be closed until further notice after a four-alarm fire significantly damaged the building over the weekend.

The fire occurred on the auditorium side of the high school, superintendent Keith Konyk said in a letter posted on the district website.

The fire occurred early Sunday morning.

No in-person or virtual classes will occur on Monday at the high school. Virtual learning will begin Tuesday.
