Popular Pittsburgh Restaurant Slapped With Consumer Alert

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for Redfin Blues at 100 Waterfront Drive on Washington's Landing along the Allegheny River.
An inspection Thursday found large amounts of raw fish, raw shrimp, crab cakes, ground beef, cooked chicken, cooked vegetables at temperatures ranging from 49-54 degrees. Food is supposed to be stored at temperatures no higher than 41 degrees.
Numerous coolers were found to have unsafe temperatures.

Black film was present on the inside of the ice machine lid. A mold-like growth was observed within the soda gun holster at the bar adjacent to the register. Wire storage racks across from the indoor walk-in cooler were observed with a build-up of dust and debris on them.

The restaurant remains open while the consumer alert is in place.
