5) A new schedule impacting Pittsburgh schools is being assessed for next year's weekly calendar. Proposed changes include the addition of a one-hour delay every single Wednesday of the school year, starting in the fall. The purpose of this once weekly delay is to replace the eight Pittsburgh Public Schools half days for professional development. Another proposed change includes a modified spring break, which PPS encourages the community to provide their feedback on. Voting is taking place on the district's website here.
