PITTSBURGH, PA — Strange but true: President Donald Trump and election challenger Joe Biden will be in the same place to mark next week's anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks. Both are going to be in Shanksville, where Flight 93 crashed during an altercation between the plane's hijackers and its passengers.

It is unclear if both will be there at the same time, although both likely would want to attend the annual ceremony that honors the doomed flight's passengers and crew. Other planes slammed into the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon near Washington, D.C. on Sept. 11, 2001; nearly 3,000 people died in the worst domestic terrorist attacks in U.S. history.

The White House announced Trump's intention to visit the site just hours after the Biden campaign said the former vice president would be there.
