The station's format is similar to WJAS in Pittsburgh, which Bell abruptly left in in May after just four months on the air. St. Barnabas Radio, which owns the station, attributed her departure to an unspecified personnel matter.
Bell joined WJAS in January, three months after she parted ways with KDKA-AM.

KDKA took the former WTAE-TV anchor off the air last September after she suggested that park rangers should shoot people who vandalize monuments honoring historical figures. In October, the station said KDKA and Bell had agreed to mutually part ways.
Judging by reaction on Bell's Facebook page to her WRTA debut, her fans were ecstatic about her return to the airwaves:
- Cathy Braun Holloway: "Dreams really can come true...great show as always."
- Christy Cunningham: "Sounded & looked great. Congratulations! I have so much respect for you and all that you do. Keep up the great work!"
- Debbie Haley Bennett: "Congratulations! Thanks for fighting the good fight by reporting the truth! It’s a novelty these days!"
- John Fortner: "A marvelous beginning! Prayers that nationwide syndication is only a short wait away."
