Construction Update: Work Continues in Plymouth

A rundown of where roadwork may occur in the Plymouth-Whitemarsh area the week of August 22.

PennDOT has announced in a release that the following areas in the Plymouth-Whitemarsh area will be under construction during the week of August 22:

  • Walton, Apollo and Township Line Roads will experience excavating for detention basins and sedimentation traps from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on August 22 through 26.
  • The Township Line Road bridge will experience construction between 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. from August 24 to 26.
  • Non-residential Areas in Plymouth could incur general construction noise due to excavation, equipment movement and backup alarms from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through August 26.
  • The northbound express lane on Interstate 476 in Montgomery County will be closed at night through August 25 for road and bridge construction between the Interstate 76 (Exit 16) and Germantown Pike West (Exit 20) interchanges. The express lane, which is located on the southbound side of I-476 in the 3.2-mile long work zone, will be closed Sunday through Thursday (Aug. 21-25) from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
