Lane Closures on I-476 Expected Through Saturday

Area drivers can expect the following instances of roadwork, road closures and possible delays for the week of October 25, according to release from PennDOT.

I-476:

• The northbound “express” lane on the southbound side of I-476 will be closed between I-76 (Exit 16) and Germantown Pike East (Exit 20) from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Sunday.

• One of the two northbound lanes on the northbound side of I-476 will be closed between I-76 (Exit 16) and Germantown Pike East (Exit 20) from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Sunday.

• Periodic traffic stoppages are expected on I-476 North from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. through Sunday.

Whitemarsh:

• Morris Road between Lafayette Avenue and Butler Pike will be closed starting Monday, November 3 due to structural damage on the bridge over Wissahickon Creek, and is expected to reopen by December 23, 2011, according to a release from the township.
