Montgomery County Announces Flu Vaccination Clinics

Drive thru and walk in flu clinics, as well as Pneumococcal/Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccines are available to county residents.

The Montgomery County Health Department announced free flu immunizations for the 2011 flu season.

There are two kinds of sites. One is a drive-through, where a patient is vaccinated in the car and receives the flu shot only. The walk-in sessions include the flu shot and the nasal spray, as well as pneumococcal and Tdap (tetanus, diptheria, pertussis).

  • Saturday, Oct. 15, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 27, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 5, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Patients coming to the walk in sessions are asked to bring immunization records, and Medicare participants should bring their Medicare card.

The influenza vaccine is recommended for all individuals age 6 months and older.

There is no pre-registration available this year.
