New Southern Style Restaurant Opens in Conshy
"Southern Cross Kitchen" opens on First Avenue.
Philly.com on Monday offered a short introduction to Southern Cross Kitchen, the latest eatery to open in Conshohocken. According to the article, Southern Cross was opened by Marianne Gere and Kim Strengari, of Stella Blu and Gypsy Saloon, on the former site of 8 East at 8 First Avenue.
The duo says that name refers to a cross between "down-home Southern classics and a modern comfort food."
Entrees like jambalaya, fried buttermilk chicken and smothered pork chop can be had for between $14 and $28, while the restaurant can seat 120 diners, 20 bar patrons, and reserve space for private parties, the article says.
