Plymouth Parks and Rec Ready for Halloween
A rundown of events that the Plymouth Parks and Recreations Department has planned for Halloween.
With Halloween a few weeks away, the Plymouth Township Parks and recreation department has a number of events lined up to celebate both the holiday and the fall season.
Below are some of the Plymouth Community Center’s planned events, according to a release from the township’s parks and rec department. Residents looking for more information can call 610-277-4312 or e-mail Lindsey Waters at lwaters@plymouthtownship.org.
- Hayride and Pumpkin Pick: Join the Plymouth Township Parks & Recreation and Maple Acres Farm for a hayride and pumpkin pick. Purchasing a pumpkin is optional; payment for pumpkin is through Maple Acres Farm. The event is open to all ages and will take place on Friday, October 14th from 1:00-3:00pm; Saturday, October 15th from 10:00am-12:00pm; and Sunday, October 16th from 1:00-3:00pm. The cost of the hayride is $2 per person.
- Mystery Madness: We will go on a flashlight scavenger hunt, do some Halloween crafts and some mind-bending puzzles. The event is open to families and will take place on Friday, October 14th from 7:00-8:30pm. The cost of this program is $7 per person and pre-registration is required.
- Pumpkin Decorating Night: Bring your own pumpkins to carve or decorate. We will provide paint and other supplies for decorating as well as knives and carving kits. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please call ahead to register, you can register at the door, but space is limited. You must bring your own pumpkin. This event is open to all ages and will take place on Friday, October 21st and Friday, October 28th from 5:30-8:00pm. The cost of this event is $5 per person.
- Pool-O-Ween & Haunted Walk: The entire aquatics center is transformed into an eerie water playground. The lights are low and there are glow sticks for all. Come brave the haunted walk and splash in the leisure pool surrounded by floating pumpkins. This event is open to all ages and will take place on Wednesday, October 26th from 6:30-8:00pm and Friday, October 28th from 7:30-9:30pm. Bring the younger kids on Wednesday for the “not-quite-so-scary” Pool-O-Ween. For children 8 and older, live ghouls will be haunting the pool deck on Friday. The cost of this event is $9 per person or $25 per family of four.
