Residents Damaged by Tropical Storm Lee Eligable for Assistance

FEMA announced that Montgomery County residents impacted by the most recent major storm are eligible for help.

Montgomery County residents who received damages from earlier this month, in addition to those who sustained damages from , may now be eligible to receive Individual Assistance from FEMA, according to a release from the county.
 
The release states that uninsured and under-insured homeowners, renters and businesses may be eligible to receive grants for temporary housing, home repair, home replacement and permanent housing construction.

Residents interested in applying for assistance are urged to call FEMA at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or apply online at www.disasterassistance.gov for disaster assistance.
 
In addition, those impacted are encoraged to visit the county's location, though the statements says that it is highly recommended that people call the number or visit the website listed above to register before visiting the Recovery Center.
