Stone Rose Restaurant To Push for New Kitchen at Zoning Meeting

The recently-closed restaurant was involved with a fire on June 30.

restaurant will be the topic of discussion at Monday’s Zoning Hearing Board in Conshohocken.

Brian Pieri, the restaurant’s owner, is petitioning the board to allow the restaurant to rebuild its kitchen in the back of the restaurant. Pieri’s request would increase required parking and add to the “impervious coverage of the site,” according to a release on the township’s website.

The Stone Rose was and has been closed since. According to Conshohocken Fire Company Department Chief Stephen Phipps, an automated fire alarm went off in the back of the restaurant sometime around 4 a.m. Thursday. Responding firefighters found smoke in the building and combated with fire suppression and ventilation and that the fire was contained after 5 a.m.
