Traffic Alert: I-476 to See Stoppage, Closures

A traffic breakdown for the week of September 19.

The following areas in the Plymouth-Whitemarsh area will be under construction during the week of September 19, according to releases from PennDOT.

  • Walton, Apollo and Township Line Roads in Plymouth will be under construction with clearing operations, excavations and embankment placing from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Tuesday until Friday.
  • Motorists traveling on Interstate 476 in Montgomery County will encounter lane closures and intermittent traffic stoppages for road and bridge construction between the Interstate 76 (Exit 16) and Germantown Pike West (Exit 20) interchanges
  • On Monday (Sept. 12) from 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m., intermittent 15-minute traffic stoppages will occur on northbound and southbound I-476.
  • From 10 p.m. Monday (Sept. 12) to 5 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 13), one of  two northbound lanes on the northbound side of I-476 will be closed at the I-76 Interchange (Exit 16); and
  • On Tuesday (Sept. 13) from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m., intermittent 15-minute traffic stoppages will occur on northbound and southbound I-476.
