Traffic Update: Blue Route Work Continues
A rundown of construction and traffic notifications for the week of September 6.

Construction on Interstate 476 in Conshohocken and Plymouth will continue this week, according to a release from PennDOT.
Nighttime lane closures and occasional traffic stoppages are planned for both lanes of the Blue Route between Wednesday and Sunday, according to the release. Additionally, one northbound and one southbound lane will be closed Wednesday night from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday.
The following roadwork and traffic adjustments are expected for the week:

- Chemical Road in Plymouth will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Ridge Pike and Gallagher Road from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday. Crews will be painting the I-476 overpass.
- Walton, Apollo and Township Line Roads in Plymouth will be under construction from 6 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
- The Township Line Road bridge in Plymouth will have road crews working from 6 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. through Friday. Though the work is not expected to restrict traffic, drivers should proceed with caution in the area.
- Manor Road in Whitemarsh remains closed as a result of damage from hurricane Irene. Representatives from the township say the road will likely be closed through October.
