Looking for a good restaurant to go to this weekend?

Roxborough-Manayunk Patch brought you the details of  Thursday. Chef/owner Mariano Herrerias started off as a dishwasher but is now the proud chef/owner of multiple restaurants in Mexico and the United States. His tireless work ethic, creativity and sense of humor are what have led to his success. Click  for the Meet the Chef.

If that restaurant isn’t to your liking, check out other area restaurants that Patch reviewed this week:

A truly delicious TMB panini will leave you begging for more. The tomato, mozzarella and basil sandwich on a sesame bun is warm and toasty but enjoyable any time of year. Click for the review.

The Rib Crib 6333 Germantown Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19144

Though only open Thursday-Saturday, this local BBQ joint still manages to pack a punch. Stop in for some juicy BBQ chicken or some tasty ribs--stick with the regular, the short ends cost more and have less flavor. Click for the review.

If the tomato pie is good enough for the late, great Harry Kalas, it should be good enough for you. Chef/Owner Tony Altomare didn’t begin in the industry but he’s more than made up for lost time. This go-getter now has 7 locations of his eponymous eatery. Click for the Meet the Chef/Owner.

A fine dining setting, great Angus beef and tasty chocolate cake are the draws to this decidedly special occasion restaurant. Don’t expect anything out of the ordinary but rest assured the simply seasoned items will be done well. Click for the review.

Stop in for some amazing Szechwan pork buns, firecracker shrimp and impeccable service. Dress up for the occasion and enjoy your dinner in the lovely dining room. Click for the review.

There is no need to travel all the way into the city to taste the wonderful creations of Chef Georges Perrier. Stop into Georges’ for his casually sophisticated cuisine. Click for the review.
