$1200 In Vacuums Stolen From Target: Springfield Police Activity

The following recent incidents were reported by the Springfield Township Police Department.
Oct. 1
While assigned to a traffic detail at the Springfield High School, Officer Dan Boyd was alerted to a subject in the 300 block of S Rolling Rd that was approaching students on their way to school. The subject, a 29-year-old resident of Springfield, was uncooperative and disorderly during his interaction with the officer. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and released to his mother.

Oct. 1
A resident from the 500 block of Hempstead Rd was the victim of a fraud. A caller advised the victim that she had won the Publishers Clearing House lottery and had to wire money to cover fees. $4,750 was wired before the victim realized it was a scam. Det. Jim Devaney is investigating.

Oct. 2
Target security, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft. Joel Robert-Armand Davidson, 25 years old from Lansdowne, was observed concealing merchandise in a bag and exiting the store. Officers searched the area and located Davidson in the mall parking lot. He was placed under arrest for Retail Theft for stealing $68 worth of items. Davidson was cited and released. Sgt. John DiTrolio is handling the incident.
Oct. 2
Springfield officers assisted the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department with serving an arrest warrant in the 100 block of Hart Ln. Kristy Robinson, 42 years old from Springfield, was taken into custody on the drug/theft warrant. Officers also encountered Anthony Michael Zecca, 33 years old from Morton, at the residence. He was found to be in possession of a firearm, drugs and a large amount of cash. He was placed under arrest for drug and weapon offenses. Sgt. John DiTrolio is handling the incident.
Oct. 2
Report of a PFA violation at an apartment complex in the 600 block of E Woodland Ave. James Tucker, 25 years old from Edgewood MD, was found to be in violation of an active protection order issued through the Delaware County Common Pleas Court. Tucker was placed under arrest and detained at police headquarters. Det. Rob Nutley is handling the incident.
Oct. 3
While handling an incident in the 900 block of Stewart Ave, officers contacted Patrick Walsh, 33 years old from Springfield. Walsh was found to have active arrest warrants and was taken into custody. Upon searching his person, he was found to be in possession of narcotics. He was placed under arrest for the warrants and the drug possession. Det. Rob Nutley is handling the case.
Oct. 4
Bath & Body Works, 1250 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft. Employees saw three customers acting suspicious before leaving the store. A check of security video showed the subjects stealing $326 in soaps. A description was provided, but the suspects had already left the area. Det. Dan McNeely is investigating.
Oct. 4
Target security, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft. Shawn Kirkpatrick, 41 years old from Glenolden, was observed concealing merchandise in a shopping bag and attempting to leave the store. $169 in merchandise was recovered. Kirkpatrick was arrested and cited for Retail Theft. Det. Rob Nutley is handling the case.
Oct. 4
Target security, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft. A juvenile from Sharon Hill was observed placing clothing in an empty baby stroller and diaper bag. She attempted to leave the store without rendering payment. Total value of the theft was $164. The juvenile was cited for Retail Theft and released to her mother. Det. Rob Nutley is handling the case.
Oct. 4
AT&T, 778 W Sproul Rd, reported a Retail Theft. The manager observed a male customer remove an I-Phone 10S Max from the display and flee the store. The phone is valued at $1,250. A description was provided, but the suspect was not located. Det. Dan McNeely is investigating.
Oct. 4
Target security, 857 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft. Amirah Sheereen Davis, 22 years old from Philadelphia, was observed concealing merchandise in a shopping cart. She realized she was being watched and abandoned the cart and left the store. She returned about a half hour later and began placing merchandise in a shopping basket. She placed the items from the basket in a bag and attempted to leave the store. She was detained by security and $536 in merchandise was recovered. Davis was arrested and charged with Retail Theft. Det. Rob Nutley is handling the case.
Oct. 5
A resident from the 300 block of Rambling Way reported his license plate stolen from his vehicle. It was not known where the theft occurred.
Oct. 5
Target security, 857 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft from the prior evening. A male suspect placed three vacuum cleaners in a cart and left the store without rendering payment. Total value of the theft was $1,299. Security provided the identity of a possible suspect from a prior incident at their Abington store. Det. Dan McNeely is handling the investigation.
Oct. 5
While assigned to a football detail at the Springfield High School, Officer Keith Robbins was alerted by staff to an intoxicated student. The 17-year-old student admitted to drinking prior to the game. He was released to his mother and will be cited for Underage Drinking.
Oct. 5
While assigned to a football detail at the Springfield High School, Sgt. Andy McKinney was alerted to a disorderly group in the bathroom. While checking the bathroom, Sgt. McKinney encountered an 18-year-old student who showed obvious signs of intoxication. As the student was led from the bathroom, he fled on foot. It was later confirmed that the he had arrived home safely. He will be issued citations for Underage Drinking and Disorderly Conduct.
Oct. 7
While on patrol in the 300 block of Baltimore Pike, Officer Michael Kingsbury observed a vehicle driving erratically. He conducted a vehicle stop and found the drive to be intoxicated. Corey Justin Nye, 29 years old from Aston, was placed under arrest for DUI.
Over this past weekend, residents reported three separate thefts from vehicles. The thefts occurred in the 300 block of Franklin Ave, 900 block of Sara Dr. and 900 block of Stoneybrook Dr. Two of the vehicles had loose change taken. The third vehicle had a loaded revolver stolen from the driver’s door compartment. All three vehicles were left unlocked.
