Delco Eye Wear Thief Identified: Police
Do you recognize this man? He's wanted for stealing more than $5,000 in eye wear from stores in Springfield and Ridley.

SPRINGFIELD, PA – Police in Delaware County have identified the man who stole thousands of dollars worth of eye wear from two area stores and are hoping the public can help bring him into custody.
Ridley Township Police said the man pictured above now has a warrant out for his arrest in connection with the Aug. 8 thefts in Springfield and Ridley townships.
Authorities did not release the suspect's name.

According to Springfield Township Police, the crimes occurred the morning and evening of Tuesday, Aug. 8 and resulted in a combined loss of $5,584 in merchandise.
The first incident took place at For Eyes Optical in Ridley at about 11:30 a.m. Aug. 8, police said.

The suspect entered the store and browsed the men's section before telling the clerk he needed to get his prescription from his vehicle, police said.

When he didn't come back inside the store, the clerk noticed the man took $2,679 worth of designer glasses, police said.
Then, at about 7:30 p.m. that same day, the suspect entered the Lenscrafters store in Springfield, police said.
The suspect asked a clerk to adjust a pair of glasses and while doing so, the suspect put $2905 worth of glasses and sunglasses in his pants then fled, police said.
He was last seen getting into a newer model white four-door car and then fled the area, police said.
Police described the suspect as 5-feet 5-inches to 5-feet 8-inches tall with a thin build, short hair, and a goatee. He was wearing dark pants, a black shirt, and black-framed glasses, police said.
