Springfield Police Blotter: Multiple Thefts; Burglary; Stolen Bike
Target, and Sprint PCS had items stolen, while Happy Wok Restaurant was burglarized. See what other crimes occurred in the township.

SPRINGFIELD, PA – The Springfield Township Police Departments released its latest crime report Monday, highlighting the department's activity between May 29 and June 4.

May 29, 9:40 p.m.
While checking the Meadowgreen Park, Ofc. Cutcliff found a parked vehicle in the lot occupied by a resident from Philadelphia. During the stop he located an amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending against the subject.

May 30, 1:40 a.m.
Sgt. Welsh responded to an alarm activation at the Happy Wok Restaurant on the 700 block South Chester Road. and found the restaurant had been forcibly entered and the cash register had been pried open. Det. McNeely is investigating.
May 31, 4:31 p.m.
Nakia McDaniels, 42, of Chester was arrested for stealing almost $900 worth of merchandise at Target in the mall. She was taken to Springfield Court for arraignment.

May 31, 5:20 p.m.
Two adult subjects were cited for Disorderly Conduct and Harassment after creating a disturbance on the 200 block Rambling Way.
June 1, 7:45 a.m.
A pink colored GT Slammer bike was recovered from the area of Indian Rock Drive and Pinecrest Road. If you have any information about the owner, contact Sgt. J. DiTrolio. (610) 544-1100
June 1, 11:47 a.m.
Target at the mall security reported observing a male subject attempt to take a Roomba vacuum cleaner without paying. They recovered the vacuum, however, the subject ran from the mall and into Swarthmore Borough. He was described as Hispanic, 5 feet 11 inches tall with a medium build, facial hair, and was wearing a blue shirt and beige shorts. Any information contact Det. McCarthy. (610) 544-1100
June 2, 12:38 p.m.
Officers responded to a holdup alarm at the Wells Fargo Bank 800 block Baltimore Pike. They learned that a white male had entered the bank and presented a note that implied he had a gun. He demanded money and received a small amount before fleeing the bank and running across Baltimore Pike. See Patch's coverage of the bank robbery here, including suspect photos. Contact Det. June 2, 2:27 p.m.
An adult female caused two disturbances in two hours on the unit block of Wildwood Avenue one with a paving contractor and one with a resident. Charges are pending against the female.
June 2, 4:37 p.m.
An adult male subject was cited for disorderly conduct after being involved in a road rage incident with another female driver in the area of Woodland Avenue Sproul Road.
June 2, 6:532 p.m.
Sprint PCS at 1100 block Baltimore Pike reported a male subject took two Apple iPhone cell phones from the display rack. He was described as a black male wearing a beige shirt, khaki pants and white sneakers. Any information contact Det. Nutley.
June 4, 8:30 a.m.
Wykina Artis, 37, of Philadelphia, was arrested for stealing $180 worth of baby formula from the Target Store in the mall. She was arraigned at Springfield Court.
