Springfield Police Blotter: Thefts, Criminal Mischief, DUI, More
Two people were cited for stealing baby formula and infant clothes on two separate occasions, police said. See full details here.

SPRINGFIELD, PA – Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime report on Monday, Nov. 6.
The new report covers activity in the township that went down between Oct. 31 and Nov. 5.
Crimes include numerous thefts, criminal mischief, DUI, underage drinking, and more.

Oct. 31, 8:39 a.m.
Report of a subject in the area of Baltimore Pike and Sproul Road possibly smoking marijuana and vandalizing a street sign. Springfield officers stopped a male matching the description. Sean Schexnayder, 50, of Springfield, admitted to smoking marijuana and "tagging" a street sign near the Springfield Mall. Schexnayder was in possession of a red marker and officers located a "No Left Turn" sign vandalized with red marker. Schexnayder was arrested and cited for criminal mischief.

Oct. 31, 3:44 p.m.
Report of a theft that occurred at the Panera Bread, 1022 Baltimore Pike. A patron had her wallet stolen from her purse while eating at the establishment. The purse had been hanging on her chair while she was seated at a table. The wallet contained debit/credit cards, a Pennsylvania driver's license, insurance cards, social security card and $60 cash. Det. Daniel McNeely is handling the investigation
Oct. 31, 10:16 p.m.
Report of a bicycle theft near the Septa Trolley stop at the Springfield Mall. The victim observed a white male dressed in all black cut the lock from his bicycle and ride from the area. The victim did not want to confront the subject and called 911. The bike was described as a 27" red and white Giordano RS700 valued at $295. Det. Robert Nutley is handling the investigation.
Nov. 11, 11:52 a.m.
Report of a retail theft from Joseph A Bank, 965 Baltimore Pike. Two black males, one in his 30s and one in his 50s, entered the store and separated. An employee approached the younger male and noticed a bag filled with merchandise. The older male left the store and the younger male ran from the business with the bag of merchandise. The males left the area in a silver sedan. Seven sweaters were stolen valued at $99. Det. Bridget McCarthy is handling the investigation.
Nov. 2, 6:05 p.m.
Target, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft. Amanda Marie Weaver, 24, of Marcus Hook, was observed concealing four cans of Similac baby formula in a shopping bag. She attempted to leave the store without rendering payment for the merchandise valued at $142. She was placed under arrest and cited for retail theft. Det. Robert Nutley is handling the investigation.
Nov. 3, 2:41 p.m.
Target, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a retail theft. Jalayah Nakiyah Brown, 23, Chester, was observed concealing infant clothing on her person. She attempted to leave the store without rendering payment for the merchandise valued at $69. She was placed under arrest and cited for retail theft. Det. Bridget McCarthy is handling the investigation.
Nov. 4, 8:54 p.m.
While investigating a report of criminal mischief, Springfield officers discovered a group of juveniles drinking in a wooded area near the 700 block of South Chester Road. Juveniles from Morton, Ridley Park and Woodlyn were arrested and charged with underage drinking and township parks violations. All were released to a relative.
Nov. 5, 3:40 p.m.
Report of a theft from the employee office at Five Below, 965 Baltimore Pike. Two employees of the store discovered their wallets had been stolen. A check of store security footage showed a black male forcibly enter the locked employee area at 12:22 p.m. and remove both wallets from the victim's purses. The wallets contained debit/credit cards, driver's licenses and cash. One of the victim's credit cards was used at several locations in the area. The black male suspect was described as having a beard, wearing black shoes and pants, a black hooded sweatshirt with the white lettering "DIESEL" and a Chicago Bulls hat. Det. Nov. 5, 8:07 p.m.
Springfield officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 1000 block of North Avenue. During the investigation, it was learned that one of the parties drove from the scene with her two sons and she was believed to be intoxicated. While at the scene, Officer Michael Kingsbury observed the vehicle return to the residence. The driver, Nicole Helen Falone, 37, was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for DUI. Her children were turned over to their grandmother. Det. Robert Nutley is handling the investigation.\
