Springfield Police Report: Thefts From Vehicles, Bank Robbery
Police arrested a Philadelphia man who allegedly stole from more than 20 vehicles in the township. See more details of the report here.

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA – Springfield Township Police released their newest police blotter recently.
This report covers police activity between Dec. 27 and Dec. 31.
Crimes included a bank robbery, multiple thefts from vehicles, and retail thefts.

Dec. 27 10:27 a.m.

A male subject entered the Wells Fargo Bank 800 block Baltimore Pk. and announced a robbery. He made his way to the teller area and took an unknown amount of money before leaving the bank and area on foot. No injuries were reported. Pictures of the suspect are on our Twitter and Facebook accounts. Det. McCarthy is handling the investigation.
Dec. 27 7:40 a.m.
Target at the mall security reported one of their employees selected two Apple watches and one Galaxy tablet device and concealed them inside a backpack in the employee locker room. Total value of the items was about $1,000. The items were recovered by Target. Charges will be filed against the employee
Dec. 27 6:04 p.m.
Employees at the AT&T Store on the 1100 block Baltimore Pike. reported two male subjects entered the store and immediately walked to the iPhone display area. Both subjects grabbed an iPhone and ran out of the store east on Baltimore Pike. Sgt. J. DiTrolio is investigating.
Dec. 27 6:56 p.m.
Target at the mall security observed a female select boys and girls clothing and a clothes hamper from display. The female concealed the clothing in the hamper and attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise. She was stopped by security, and the merchandise, which was valued over $300, was recovered. The female will be charged with retail theft.
Several vehicles were entered and items stolen from the Colonial Park section of town during the week.
On Dec. 31 at about 1:47 a.m. Ofc. Christy stopped a male subject walking on the 500 block of Hawarden Road. The subject was identified as Ramon Brinkley 24, of Philadelphia. The subject was found to be a wanted person out of Philadelphia, and he also matched the description of a suspect in prior thefts from vehicles in Springfield. He was taken into custody and subsequently admitted to over 20 thefts from vehicles in Springfield. Brinkley was charged with theft and held for arraignment at Springfield Court.
