Springfield Woman Charged For Squatting In Home For A Week: Cops
A Springfield woman and Broomall man were found by police hiding inside a Radnor Township home they are accused of breaking into.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — A Springfield woman has been hit with burglary and related charges after police said he and a woman are alleged to have lived in a temporarily vacant home for a week.
Radnor Police said Nicole DiPietro, 39, of Springfield, and William Quirk, 45, of Broomall, have been charged with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking, and related charges.
Police were called to a home on the 200 block of Matsonford Road Sunday for a burglary.

The victim came home after being away for a week and found the home ransacked.
When police showed up with a K9 unit, they found DiPietro hiding in the home, police said.

Quirk, however, escaped through a window and ran from the area, police said.
Eventually, Quirk was taken into custody with the help of Lower Merion Police Department, Haverford Township Police Department, and an additional canine team.
Police found Quirk inside a heavily wooded area where ran from, but was found through the use of Lower Merion Police Department's aerial drone with thermal imaging.
He was taken into custody by a Lower Merion K9 unit and suffered injuries while being apprehended, police said. He was treated at Bryn Mawr Hospital.
Investigators found information that the Quirk and Pietro had been living the home without permission and engaged in criminal behavior inside the home for nearly a week.
Quirk and DiPietro were arraigned and were unable to post bail. They were remanded to George W. Hill Correctional Facility.
