Hockey Brawl Was After Game, No Players Involved: Coach

A video captured a brawl following a championship game in Chester County.

A high school ice hockey game turned violent Friday night when a massive fight broke out between fans.

The fight followed a game between Springfield High School in Delaware County and West Chester Rustin at the Ice Line Rink in West Goshen, according to reports.

A few people were hurt but only suffered minor injuries, 6 ABC reports.

Nick Travaglini, a coach for Springfield, told Patch there were no players from either team involved in the fight after the game. "The fight was between the fans as they were leaving the rink out in the lobby after the game," Travaglini said.

Springfield schools issued a statement on Friday after the game:

"The Springfield administration has been made aware of an incident that occurred at the hockey game on the evening of Friday, March 11, 2016. The administration has been and continues to assist all appropriate authorities in bringing a resolution to the matter. Thank you for your continued support."

It's unclear exactly what started the fight.

West Chester Rustin won the game, the 2016 Flyers Cup A Championship, 4-1.
