Woman Spit On Man, Resisted Arrest At Springfield Target: Police

She is accused of causing scratches, bites, and a laceration to an officer's face and arm while he was trying to take her into custody.

SPRINGFIELD, PA – A Philadelphia woman is facing felony aggravated assault and related charges after allegedly spitting on a man then struggling with an officer who was trying to arrest her after a vehicle accident, according to Springfield Township Police.

Addesse G. Willie, 41, of Philadelphia, was arrested Friday, March 9 and charged with felony aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct, court records show.

According to police, Willie was involved in a vehicle accident in the parking lot of Target at 857 Baltimore Pike on Friday, March 9.

When an officer arrived at the scene, Willie was allegedly yelling at the other driver, police said.

The officer separated Willie and the other driver to get their respective information, but Willie allegedly began screaming at the other driver and spat in his face, police said.

Willie was told to calm down but she allegedly did not and the officer attempted to place her under arrest, police said.

She began struggling with the officer and subsequently caused scratches, bites, and a laceration on the officer's face and arm, according to police.

Willie was remanded to the Delaware County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail, court records show.

She is slated to appear for a preliminary hearing on March 22, according to court documents.
