Wayne Woman Charged With Attempted Homicide In Paoli Shooting
A Wayne woman allegedly shot 3 times the person living with her ex, and did it in front of a child, Chester County's D.A. said Tuesday.

WAYNE, PA — A 27-year-old Wayne woman is charged with attempted homicide after she shot the woman living with her ex three times with a child present, according to a report from the Chester County District Attorney's Office.
Chester County District Attorney's Office and Willistown Twp Police announced charges against Khadija Davis, 27, of Wayne on Tuesday.
The D.A.'s report alleges Davis on July 27 shot a 33-year-old victim who was living with Davis's ex-girlfriend on West Central Avenue in Paoli. Police arrived at the scene and found a victim with a gunshot wound to her arm and Davis with a gunshot wound to her foot, a police report said. The 14-year-old child of the victim was also at the scene, police said.

Davis also shot herself in the foot as the ex-girlfriend tried to gain control of the firearm, according to the report. Police said their investigation revealed Davis and her ex-girlfriend had ended their relationship five or six months earlier.
The criminal complaint alleges Davis tried to enter the house through a locked back door before entering through the front door. When the ex-girlfriend removed Davis from the house, Davis allegedly went and got a gun from her car.

According to a police report, Davis said, "I'm going to shoot this b----h," and fired three shots at the victim, striking her in the arm, all while the child was present.
Davis is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, burglary, false identification to law enforcement, and related offenses for allegedly unlawfully entering a home, and shooting a victim three times with a child present, according to the D.A.'s Office. She is also charged with carrying a firearm without a license.
The report said Davis also gave a false name and birthdate to police.
Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan said, "The defendant's complete disregard for the lives of two adults and a child is incomprehensible. My office will vigorously pursue the charges against the defendant in an attempt to bring justice to the victims. Thank you to Willistown Police for bringing a safe resolution to a dangerous situation."
Willistown Police Chief Robert Klinger said, "The defendant endangered the lives of three people in a residential area. My officers quickly took control of the situation before more lives were put at risk. We will investigate this incident to the fullest."
Davis is being held on $500,000 cash bail at Chester County Prison, the D.A.'s Office said.
Willistown Police and Chester County Detectives are the investigators. Assistant District Attorney Christine Abatemarco is the assigned prosecutor.
