Hyundai, Kia Crimes Have Upper Southampton Twp. Offering Free Locks
Upper Southampton Township has joined neighboring townships in giving away free steering wheel locks to combat vehicle thefts.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Due to a recent rise in stolen Kia and Hyundai vehicles, the Upper Southampton Township Police Department is providing free steering wheel locks to vehicle owners.
The vehicle crimes stemmed from a viral challenge on TikTok and YouTube in the past year that led to an increase in thefts of Kias and Hyundais around the country.
Neighboring Warminster and Northampton townships issued free wheel locks as well earlier in the year for similar issues.
