Flood Fallout: Tetanus, Hepatitis A Vaccinations Available

The vaccinations are recommended for those exposed to the waters in the recent flash flooding.

UPPER ST. CLAIR, PA - Residents exposed to the waters in the recent flash flooding will need tetanus and and hepatitis A shots if they haven’t had them in the past 10 years. The vaccinations will be available Tuesday thanks to a joint effort by the township and St. Clair Hospital.

Hospital representatives will be at the Community & Recreation Center at Boyce Mayview Park from 2-6 p.m.

The hepatitis A vaccination requires two injections. Those who receive a hepatitis A injection will receive a waiver so they can get the second shot six months later at no cost.
