4 Stolen Catalytic Converters Top Warminster Crimes

Warminster Township Police, in releasing its blotter of criminal incidents, said three converter thefts happened on the same day.

WARMINSTER, PA —Four catalytic converters were swiped, including three on the same day, police said.

The four catalytic converter thefts were among the criminal incidents released by the Warminster Township Police Department for the period of Feb. 13 to Feb. 26.

Retail Theft Arrest —After completing an investigation, police charged a 29-year-old woman and a 55-year-old woman, both from Philadelphia, with retail theft. The theft occurred at Walmart.

Simple Assault and Related Offenses —Police completed an investigation into a fight that was alleged to have occurred between two people at a Park Avenue business. After completing the investigation a 40-year-old Norristown man was charged with simple assault and related offenses.

Possession of Firearm without a valid Permit/License —On Feb. 15, around 12:50 p.m., an officer conducted a vehicle stop for vehicle code violations in the area of Street Road and Jacksonville Road. After speaking with the occupants and conducting a further investigation, one occupant —a 19-year-old Philadelphia man was found to be in possession of a firearm without a concealed firearms permit and license. He was later arraigned on the charge of possession of a firearm without a license.

Public Drunkenness —On Feb. 20, around 3:27 p.m., police responded to the area of the Burger King for a known unwanted person. Upon arrival, the 35-year-old Hatboro man was no longer on the scene but was found laying in the grass in the area of the 500 block of Olive Street. Upon making contact, the man was found to be intoxicated. He was cited for public drunkenness and released to another party.

Public Drunkenness and Consumption of Alcohol by Underage Person —On Feb. 18, around 2 a.m., police responded to the area of Ryan Avenue and Valentine Road in Ivyland for reports of a suspicious subject. Upon making contact, police found a 17-year-old male juvenile from North Wales to be intoxicated. He was cited for public drunkenness and underage drinking and then was released to a parent who had responded to the scene.

Public Drunkenness —On Feb. 17, around 11:23 a.m., police responded to the area of York Road and Street Road at the Rite Aid Pharmacy for an unwanted suspect. Upon making contact, the 35-year-old Hatboro man was found to be intoxicated. He was cited for public drunkenness and later released to another party.

Retail Theft Arrest —After completing an investigation, police charged a 51-year-old Ivyland man with retail theft. The theft occurred at a smoke shop on West County Line Road.

Disorderly Conduct —On Feb. 21, around 11:58 a.m., police responded to the area of the 600 block of Louis Drive for a disturbance. After investigating, a 15-year-old male juvenile from Trevose was cited with disorderly conduct.

Public Drunkenness —On Feb. 18, around 3:11 am, police responded to the area of the 100 block of Fairway Drive for a man who was banging on doors. Upon making contact, the 18-year-old Warminster man was found to be intoxicated. He was transported to his residence and released to a family member. The man was cited for public drunkenness and underage drinking.

Simple Assault and Related Offenses —On Feb. 23, police responded to a disturbance call. After investigating, two Warminster female juveniles were charged with simple assault and related offenses.

Driving Under the Influence — Police responded to a traffic accident at the intersection of Street Road and Jacksonville Road. The accident involved a vehicle running into a traffic light post. While investigating, a 39-year-old Warminster man was found to be intoxicated. The driver was charged with driving under the influence and related offenses.

Possession of Drugs and Paraphernalia —On Feb. 26, around 11:20 p.m., an officer on patrol observed a suspicious running occupied vehicle in a local apartment/condo complex. Upon making contact with the occupants, the officer observed signs of drug activity. After investigating, an 18-year-old Warrington man was arrested for possession of a small amount and drug paraphernalia.

Catalytic Converter Theft —On Feb. 21, police took the report of a catalytic converter theft from a 2019 Nissan Truck that was parked in the 300 block of E. Street Road.

Theft from Trailer —On Feb. 21, police responded to the 400 block of Delmont Avenue for the report of power tools and other items taken from a parked enclosed trailer that was parked in the residence driveway. Police are investigating the incident.

Theft Investigation —Police received a report from a homeowner in the 1300 block of Mallard Circle that sometime during the overnight hours of Feb. 21s, an unknown person(s) entered their shed and removed items. At least some of the items were found in a neighbor’s yard. Police are investigating this and other suspicious occurrences and thefts that occurred in that general area on this date.

Theft from Vehicle and Exterior Structure —On Feb. 21, police responded to the 1300 block of Mallard Circle for the report of items taken from a parked vehicle and exterior structure on the block. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked and parked during overnight hours. A pool vacuum and other items were reportedly taken from the exterior structure of one of the residences. Police are investigating the incident and similar ones in the area on this date.

Catalytic Converter Theft —On Feb. 21, police took the report of a catalytic converter theft from a 2018 Isuzu truck that was parked in the rear of the Walmart. The theft reportedly occurred between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m.

Catalytic Converter Theft —On Feb. 24, police took the report of a catalytic converter theft from a 2003 Acura that was parked in a parking lot in the area of the 600 block of Newtown Road. The converter was reported stolen sometime between Feb. 15 and Feb. 22.

Catalytic Converter Theft —On Feb. 21, police took the report of a catalytic converter theft from a work van that was parked in the Chik-Fil-A parking lot. The theft reportedly occurred sometime between Feb. 16 and Feb. 21.
